Bosses
Derelict Duo
When pulling this boss, try and interrupt Kalis'
Shadowbolt to move her around for cleaving. Latch's main attack is
Bone Hack which will hit the tank and leave a 3 second DoT. After a little bit, Latch will cast
Spattering Spew which will leave a puddle of Gunk Splatter, creating some area of denial for the fight.
Kalis will target two players with
Curse of Darkness, which will spawn an add on each player, immune to damage and fixated to chase them for 12 seconds. Removing the curse removes the add, otherwise kite it to avoid taking damage.
The main mechanic of this fight is
Debilitating Shriek where Kalis will AoE the group every 2 seconds, ramping the damage output by 30% each pulse. To stop this, Latch will also cast
Heaving Yank on a player. This hook will pull the player in and hit them with
Heaving Chop which will stun you for 6 seconds if it doesn't kill you. You can, however, position yourself to have Kalis be hooked instead of the player, and this will interrupt her channel, and continue to the fight.
The person who will get hooked has a red marker over their head, and it shifts to the hook target based on who is within line of sight of the incoming hook. Ensure it's over Kalis' head
Ensure both bosses die together to not trigger Broken Bond, giving the remaining boss a 50% buff every 5 seconds until it's killed.
Emberdawn
This is a fairly straight-forward fight. Every so often, Emberdawn will target two players with Flaming Updraft, a DoT that after 6 seconds will drop a
Ignited Embers on the floor. You want to position these twisters on the edge of the room.
After Emberdawn hits 100 Energy, it will begin casting
Burning Gale where it will be constantly damage the group, fire off frontals in different directions, and this will also trigger the Embers to eject Flaming Twisters in different directions across the arena. A lot of constant dodging and movement in this phase.
Other than this rinse and repeat, the tank will be hit with
Searing Beak a tankbuster DoT.
Commander Kroluk
This fight starts off with Kroluk smashing the tank with
Rampage, which will hit the tank several times over 5 seconds, so ensure active mitigation is up.
He will then choose two random players in the group (most likely the two furthest away at the time of cast) to Reckless Leap to. Each time he lands, he will crash the ceiling down all over the arena, so prepare to find a safe spot between both jumps.
On the second landing, he will immediately begin casting
Intimidating Shout, which every player needs to stack with a partner (or altogether) to ensure they aren't hit with a DoT and 6 second fear. You will know you're safe when the circle around you turns white.
After 2 or 3 rotations of these spells, he will then begin casting Rallying Bellow, summoning 4 Haunting Grunt, a Spectral Axethrower and a Phantasmal Mystic. Until these mobs are dealt with, he will chase a player around the arena using Bladestorm, so be ready to reposition yourself if he is close.
The Restless Heart
The final fight of Windrunner Spire requires a lot of movement awareness, starting with the first spell that will be cast soon after pull, Arrow Rain.
This is a critical mechanic to the fight, because if you touch one of the Turbulent Arrows, you'll be knocked up in the air and form a Storming Soulfont , but also remove any stacks of
Squall Leap. Each player will get the stacking
Squall Leap debuff every time the Heart jumps in the air. This includes before using Arrow Rain and when it casts Bullseye Windblast where the Heart will jump away, and fire across the room to the opposite edge. Get out of the initial impact, and prepare to use to use the Turbulent Arrow to jump over the creeping
Billowing Wind.
Every so often, she will also choose a player to spam a 5 second channel/frontal on called
Bolt Gale. This person should point this channel away from any other players, as hitting additional players will most likely overwhelm the healer.
To help alleviate the area of denial created by Storming Soulfont, the Heart will start by casting
Tempest Slash on the Tank, increasing their damage taken by 200% debuff (and can also be removed by touching a Turbulent Arrows), but will immediately follow up with
Gust Shot, allowing the three selected players to try and use the reticles to remove any Storming Soulfont on the floors.
